Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Data Center Cable Technician to support installation, routing, and organization of fiber optic and copper cabling in a data center environment. You will work with experienced team members to build and maintain critical infrastructure for servers and networking equipment.

This role targets candidates with hands-on cabling experience who want to advance in structured cabling and data center operations, with additional training provided on standards and installation best

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on cabling experience in data center environments.
• Background in electrical, low-voltage, AV, telecom, security systems, or utility trades is preferred.
• Interested technicians will gain experience in large-scale technology infrastructure with on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Install fiber optic and copper cabling throughout the data center.
• Terminate and organize cables, perform basic terminations and testing.
• Support rack, cabinet, and pathway buildout and daily installation tasks.
• Follow safety rules and maintain clean, organized work areas.
