Job summary

The Bernard Group, located in Chanhassen, MN, is hiring a Learning & Development Program Manager to design, deliver and continually improve learning programs for employees. You will partner with leaders and SMEs to convert business needs into practical training covering technical, leadership and soft skills.

You will lead internal trainer development, oversee LMS and vendor relationships, and apply generative AI to instructional design across shifts and departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; advanced training or certification in adult learning techniques is a plus.
• Eight or more years designing, developing and delivering training content for adult learners at various skill levels.
• Five or more years of experience managing others with development responsibilities.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, coaching and project management skills.
• Experience managing learning management systems; experience with 360Learning is preferred.
• Experience using Adobe Suite tools and web-based authoring tools such as Captivate, Articulate or Canva.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI tools for instructional design, scripting, communications and assessment creation.
• Be able to share examples or a portfolio of training development work.
• Comfortable working on a production floor, with PPE, across shifts; experience in multi-shift manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership and business partners to identify training needs and learning objectives.
• Collaborate with SMEs to design, develop, deliver and evaluate eLearning, videos, classroom experiences and blended learning.
• Develop, schedule, deliver and track training for employees and managers.
• Provide leadership coaching, mentorship and skill development for growth.
• Help SMEs select training methods that reinforce skills and support distance learning.
• Build and maintain a central repository of training content.
• Develop and support a network of internal trainers via Train the Trainer programs.
• Research training techniques and recommend content/process improvements.
• Manage external training vendor relationships as needed.
