Job summary

The Voleon Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Learning & Development to own Voleon University, our enterprise learning program. You will craft onboarding, manager development, and work optimization curricula across the company, collaborating with Research, Engineering, and business functions to ensure relevant content.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or organizational development, including building programs from the ground up.
• Demonstrated success as an individual contributor with high autonomy.
• Proven ability to design and launch multi-audience learning curricula (onboarding, manager development, skills training).
• Exceptional instructional design skills translating complex concepts into accessible learning content.
• Strong understanding of adult learning theory and modern delivery methods.
• Excellent facilitation skills across varied audiences, from ICs to managers.
• Strong project management for a multi-year curriculum roadmap with multiple workstreams.
• Ability to build relationships with HR Business Partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and academically credentialed audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own the curriculum and roadmap for Voleon University.
• Operate as an autonomous individual contributor over program design and execution.
• Report to the Head of People with regular alignment on priorities and progress.
• Create onboarding curriculum to accelerate ramp time and understanding of Voleon operations.
• Design first-time manager training for new managers.
• Develop onboarding for experienced managers to learn Voleon culture and expectations.
• Build work optimization training for individual contributors and managers.
• Establish a scalable curriculum framework and content library for future headcount growth.
• Determine delivery formats: live, self-paced, or blended approaches.
• Collaborate with HRBP and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
• Measure program effectiveness using data, feedback, and business outcomes; iterate accordingly.
• Stay current on adult learning theory and instructional design best practices.
