Mistral AI is seeking a senior engineering leader to manage the Kubernetes product team, balancing architecture decisions with hands-on technical work and people leadership. You will own the control plane end to end—scheduling GPUs, provisioning clusters, and scaling from current footprint toward a gigawatt of compute—while mentoring engineers and shaping the roadmap.

This role emphasizes collaboration with product, design, and the business teams to ship reliable infrastructure used by customers

Qualificações

• Experience leading engineers and growing a team.
• Shipped production systems in Go.
• Experience running Kubernetes in production, including GPUs.
• Strong collaboration with product, design, and business teams.
• Hands-on with critical architecture decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Design and ship the Kubernetes control plane and its scheduling/ provisioning systems.
• Grow the engineers and coach them to own their work.
• Own reliability of the Kubernetes control plane and respond to incidents.
• Shrink the gap from metal to on-demand clusters.
• Partner with Product Managers to set priorities and tradeoffs.
• Lead people management for the team.
• Define processes and rituals as the team grows.
