Job summary

Mistral AI is building a sovereign AI cloud and seeks a Kubernetes-focused engineer to design and ship the control plane end to end on in-house infrastructure, with GPU support for training, inference, and general compute.

You will decide how the control plane scales, how GPUs are scheduled, and how a rack of bare metal becomes an on-demand cluster used by customers across regions. This role combines software and systems expertise in a mission-critical platform.

Qualifications

• Shipped production systems in Go.
• Experience running Kubernetes in production, ideally building parts of it.
• Experience running GPU workloads on Kubernetes.
• Developer-minded with an infrastructure focus.
• Extensive experience building backend or infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship the Kubernetes control plane and its architecture.
• Own the reliability of the Kubernetes control plane.
• Shrink the distance from metal to on-demand via automation.
• Partner with Product Managers to set priorities and scope initiatives.
• Raise the engineering bar through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
