Job summary

Mistral AI is building a Compute Support team to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of GPU clusters in Kubernetes. You will be the first contact for customers and internal teams, guiding them through compute-related inquiries with deep system knowledge.

As a founding member, you will shape processes, standards, and culture while maintaining 24/7 support readiness and collaborating with SRE on Terraform/Ansible tooling. Go experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in system administration, technical support, or infrastructure operations.
• Deep Linux/Unix expertise with kernel debugging and performance tuning.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience with pod/node troubleshooting and networking/storage concepts.
• Familiarity with containerization tools and basic IaC.
• Proficiency in Go, Bash, or Python scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first interlocutor for customers and internal teams, addressing compute-related inquiries.
• Triage, prioritize, and respond within SLAs; gather logs and metrics for diagnosis.
• Provide deep technical troubleshooting for Linux, Kubernetes, and compute infra issues.
• Debug Kubernetes clusters and container runtimes; collaborate with SRE on IaC tooling.
• Create runbooks, post-mortems, and train teams on best practices for compute infra.
