Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Knowledge Modeler/Ontologist to design and govern enterprise ontologies for knowledge graphs. You will lead ontology lifecycle, model schemas, and integrate structured and unstructured data across teams.

Collaboration with AI/ML, data engineering, and business SMEs is essential. You will apply OWL, RDF, SKOS, SHACL standards, align with upper ontologies, and mentor colleagues while ensuring governance and quality gates are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on ontology engineering or knowledge modeling.
• Experience delivering domain ontologies in enterprise or consulting contexts.
• Formal training or experience with OWL 2, RDF, RDFS, SKOS, SHACL, SPARQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead ontology lifecycle: requirements, conceptual modeling, formal specification, validation, deployment.
• Design schema (T-Box) and hydration patterns for data sources; align with governance.
• Create and evolve ontologies, taxonomies, vocabularies using OWL/RDFS/SKOS; map relational data.
• Build knowledge graphs enabling reasoning, discovery, and analytics; ensure regulatory alignment.
• Coach SMEs & stakeholders; validate competency questions; communicate decisions to non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with data engineering, NLP, and graph hydration teams; maintain governance and quality gates.
