Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Knowledge Modeler/Ontologist to design and govern enterprise ontologies for knowledge graph initiatives. You will translate business domains into rigorous semantic models, align with governance standards, and collaborate across data engineering and AI teams.

The role emphasizes OWL 2, RDF/RDFS, SKOS, SHACL validation, and creating scalable ontology architectures to power intelligent applications on client projects. Hybrid travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on ontology engineering, knowledge modeling, or related semantic web discipline.
• Experience delivering domain ontologies in enterprise or consulting contexts.
• Bachelor’s in information science, computer science, library science, linguistics, philosophy, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead ontology lifecycle from requirements through deployment with OWL 2, RDF/RDFS, SKOS, SHACL validation.
• Design T-Box structures; map relational data into semantic frameworks; hydrate A-Box as needed.
• Build and maintain knowledge graphs to support reasoning, discovery, and analytics.
• Coach business SMEs in developing competency questions to scope ontology.
• Collaborate with data engineering, AI/ML, product, and stakeholders; ensure governance.
