Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Knowledge Modeler / Ontologist to shape enterprise knowledge graphs and domain ontology design. You will bridge business, data engineering, and AI/ML teams, translating complex domains into rigorous semantic models aligned with governance standards.

Responsibilities include leading ontology lifecycle, modeling patterns, and ensuring compliance with OWL/RDF/SKOS, while coaching SMEs to validate competency questions and drive value across programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on ontology engineering or semantic web experience.
• Experience delivering domain ontologies in enterprise or consulting settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead full ontology lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Design T-Box structures and contribute to A-Box hydration patterns.
• Create and evolve ontologies, taxonomies, and vocabularies using OWL, RDF, RDFS, SKOS.
• Map relational data into semantic frameworks.
• Build knowledge graphs to support reasoning and analytics.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, AI/ML, Product, and Business SMEs.
• Coach business stakeholders in developing competency questions.
• Ensure alignment with governance and upper ontologies.
