Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, seeks an experienced Systems Application Analyst to support the Navy Warfare Development Center in Norfolk, VA. You will develop and govern the Knowledge Management program, ensuring knowledge is captured, structured, and accessible.

You will lead KM initiatives, coordinate with government and military leadership, and support Navy Live, Virtual, and Constructive training efforts. U.S. citizenship and Top Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
Experience developing KM programs within technology-focused organizations, government, or similarly complex environments.
Experience implementing and supporting SharePoint-based knowledge and collaboration solutions.
Strong understanding of knowledge lifecycle management, information architecture, taxonomy, metadata, search, and organizational learning.
Ability to translate business and operational requirements into practical KM processes and technical solutions.
Experience communicating with and influencing senior leadership, stakeholders, technical teams, and subject matter experts.
Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and presentation skills.
Experience leading teams and cross-functional initiatives to achieve measurable results.
Willingness for routine travel to remote site facilities; occasional non-standard hours for events.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve the enterprise Knowledge Management framework, strategy, standards, and governance processes.
Lead KM initiatives and guide KM team members, content owners, and stakeholders.
Identify, capture, organize, classify, and assess organizational knowledge assets.
Design, configure, administer, and maintain SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and permissions.
Apply web development and UX principles to improve knowledge presentation.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align KM with processes, training, and governance.
Promote KM platforms and encourage knowledge sharing.
Establish content lifecycle and governance to keep information current and controlled.
Deliver KM training, user guides, standards, and best practices.
Identify barriers to knowledge sharing and develop adoption strategies.
Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance search, collaboration, and knowledge discovery.
Communicate KM success stories and lessons learned across the organization.
