Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior professional to lead AI transformation for transactional practices. You will assess needs, build AI-enabled workflows, and drive adoption while ensuring governance and policy compliance.

You will collaborate on Knowledge & Innovation initiatives, curate templates and resources, and coach attorneys on AI tools and best practices. A JD and law practice experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and JD required.

Job description

• Assess knowledge and AI transformation needs of transactional practices and help execute unified plans


• Capture feedback and measure adoption, time savings, and ROI metrics for continuous improvement


• Monitor market trends, AI tools, and technology developments applicable to transactional practices


• Collaborate on firm-wide Knowledge & Innovation initiatives


• Develop and maintain templates, checklists, precedent collections, and other practice resources


• Build and test AI-enabled workflows and provide coaching, consultation, and oversight to others building AI resources


• Ensure adherence to firm AI governance and policy requirements


• Organize and curate practice sites on the firm intranet and resource-sharing platforms


• Support practitioner training on AI tools, K&I resources, and AI use best practices


• Cultivate attorneys who will champion K&I transformation efforts


• Promote adoption of AI- and K&I-oriented technologies and support client-facing AI conversations


• Participate in evaluation, piloting, rollout planning, and adoption strategy for new AI, K&I, and research tools


• Contribute to AI, K&I, and innovation projects for transactional practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s and Juris Doctorate degrees


• Five-plus years of experience practicing in a transactional practice, such as mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, finance, real estate, or technology transactions


• Successful track record in client service


• Hands-on experience with legal AI tools and AI workflow building is required


• Strategic thinking paired with strong execution skills, project management discipline, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines


• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills


• Ability to translate technical concepts for attorneys and legal concepts for technologists


• Ability to analyze problems or projects quickly and accurately and develop creative solutions


• Effective interpersonal skills, relationship-building, change leadership, stakeholder engagement, and influence without formal authority


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills


• Working fluency with AI and related technology concepts, including large language models, agents, APIs, and MCP connectors


• Fluency in standard MS Office applications and ability to quickly master new collaboration, AI, and similar software and tools


• Ability to exercise independent judgment and self-direct


• Ability to allocate resources to meet competing demands


• Prior knowledge and innovation experience preferred


• Managerial, program management, or project management experience strongly preferred
