- Serve as the primary point of contact and face of the Innovation function within assigned practice groups
- Build relationships with attorneys to understand workflows, substantive needs, and knowledge gaps
- Provide associates with relevant knowledge assets and practice solutions
- Identify high-value use cases and contribute to design and deployment of AI and technology solutions
- Guide attorneys on AI tools and technology solutions across the matter lifecycle
- Customize prompts and workflows and translate practice needs into requirements for the Applied AI team
- Deliver substantive legal and AI-tool training through group and one-on-one sessions
- Structure and curate precedents, playbooks, and institutional knowledge
- Monitor AI, legal technology, and substantive practice developments
- Create and distribute current-awareness updates
- Analyze usage data and attorney feedback to identify training and development opportunities
- Support broader innovation projects and collaborate with international offices
- Mentor Knowledge & Innovation Attorneys or analysts
- Represent practice-group AI and knowledge priorities to leadership and management
- Set priorities for AI and knowledge initiatives within assigned practice groups
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from accredited university
- At least six (6) years of practice experience and/or knowledge management experience
- Substantive knowledge and practice experience directly aligned with the assigned practice
- Demonstrated interest in and working familiarity with AI platforms such as Harvey, Claude, ChatGPT, CoCounsel, and Copilot
- Experience with practice technology and knowledge platforms such as Practical Law, Practical Guidance, litigation analytics tools, brief analyzers, deal closing tools, document automation tools, and data extraction tools
- Ability to translate practice group needs into requirements for prompts, agents, and workflows
- Ability to partner effectively with attorneys and the technology team
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with experience delivering training and driving user adoption
- Experience or aptitude structuring and curating legal knowledge and work product for effective use, including by AI systems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities using data
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to responsive, service-oriented user support
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
- Ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly
- Prior experience mentoring, training, or supervising junior attorneys or professional staff
- Demonstrated track record leading AI or knowledge management initiatives
- Experience creating or refining prompts, agents, or workflows using AI tools is a plus
