Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Knowledge Modeler / Ontologist to design and govern enterprise ontologies powering knowledge graphs and AI‑enabled applications. You will translate business domains into formal semantic models using OWL, RDFS, and SKOS, collaborating with data engineers, NLP teams, and SMEs.

Hybrid role in the US with travel up to 20-80%. Candidates should have 5+ years in ontology engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; a Master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on ontology engineering or semantic web discipline.
• Experience delivering domain ontologies in enterprise or consulting context.
• Bachelor's in a related field required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead full ontology lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Design schema structures and hydration patterns across data sources.
• Apply naming conventions, URI strategies, and modular architecture.
• Collaborate with data engineering, AI/ML, and business SMEs.
• Coach stakeholders in developing competency questions to guide scope.
