Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Knowledge Modeler/Ontologist to design and govern domain ontologies for enterprise knowledge graphs. You will collaborate with data engineers, AI/ML teams, and business SMEs to translate complex business domains into formal semantic models using OWL/RDF/SKOS and SHACL.

The role requires hands-on ontology development, competency-question framing, and alignment with upper ontologies (e.g., BFO), with hybrid work and travel up to 80% to client locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in ontology engineering, knowledge modeling, or a closely related semantic web discipline.
• Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience delivering domain ontologies in an enterprise or consulting context.
• Bachelor’s in Information Science, Computer Science, Library Science, Linguistics, Philosophy, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full ontology lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Design T-Box structures and contribute to A-Box hydration patterns across data sources.
• Apply and uphold naming conventions, URI strategies, and modular architecture.
