Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Knowledge Modeler/Ontologist to design and govern enterprise ontologies for knowledge graphs. You will bridge business stakeholders with data engineering and AI/ML teams, translating domains into semantic models that power intelligent applications.

Hybrid work includes travel to client locations. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in ontology engineering, proficiency with OWL/RDF/SKOS, and experience with GraphDB/Neo4j.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on ontology engineering/knowledge modeling
• Experience delivering domain ontologies in enterprise/consulting context
• Bachelor’s in related fields as listed

Responsibilities

• Lead ontology lifecycle from requirements to deployment
• Design T-Box and hydration patterns across data sources
• Apply naming conventions, URI strategies, and modular architecture
• Create and evolve ontologies, taxonomies, vocabularies with OWL/RDF/RDFS/SKOS
• Map relational data into semantic models and build knowledge graphs
• Ensure alignment with business goals, governance, and data quality
• Coach SMEs in developing competency questions to guide scope
• Collaborate with NLP teams on ontology-guided extraction
