Job summary

Accenture seeks an experienced Knowledge Modeler / Ontologist to design and govern domain ontologies for enterprise knowledge graphs. You will bridge business stakeholders, data engineering, and AI/ML teams to produce standards-compliant semantic models that enable intelligent applications.

The role is hybrid, entails travel 20–80%, and requires strong collaboration across Data, AI/ML, Product, and SME teams. Minimum 5 years in ontology engineering and graduate education are expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years hands-on ontology engineering or knowledge modeling.
  • Experience delivering domain ontologies in enterprise or consulting.
  • Ability to translate business concepts into machine-readable semantics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead ontology lifecycle: requirements, modeling, formal spec, validation, deployment.
  • Design schema structures and hydration patterns for data sources.
  • Apply naming/URI conventions and modular ontology architecture.
  • Develop ontologies and vocabularies using OWL, RDF, RDFS, SKOS.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, NLP, and knowledge graph teams.
