Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Knowledge Modeler / Ontologist to design and govern enterprise ontologies for knowledge graphs. You will translate business domains into formal semantic models and collaborate with data engineering, AI/ML, and business SMEs to deliver scalable knowledge representations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on ontology engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years delivering domain ontologies in enterprise or consulting contexts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, CS, Library Science, Linguistics, Philosophy, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead full ontology lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Design T-Box structures and hydration patterns across data sources.
• Apply naming conventions, URI strategies, and modular ontology architecture.
• Create and evolve ontologies, taxonomies, and vocabularies using OWL, RDF, RDFS, SKOS.
• Coach business SMEs in developing and validating competency questions.
• Maintain awareness of upper ontologies (e.g., BFO, schema.org).
