Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior Ontologist and Knowledge Architecture Lead to own the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise knowledge graph initiatives.

You will lead semantic modeling, ontology governance, and the technical direction of a cross-functional team across business, data engineering, and AI/ML disciplines.

This hybrid role requires travel and collaboration with business and AI teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years hands-on ontology engineering experience.
• Experience owning production-grade ontologies in complex enterprise environments.
• Lead role with responsibility for technical standards, team development, and roadmap ownership.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or PhD) in Information Science, Computer Science, Library Science, Linguistics, Philosophy, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end ontology lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Define enterprise ontology architecture and alignment with upper ontologies.
• Lead mapping of relational data into semantic frameworks (R2RML/RML).
• Oversee knowledge graph hydration, integration testing, and validation pipelines.
• Ensure ontological models align with governance and regulatory requirements.
