Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior Ontologist and Knowledge Architecture Lead to own the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise knowledge graph initiatives. You will lead semantic modeling, ontology governance, and cross‑functional collaboration across business, data engineering, and AI/ML teams.

Responsibilities include end‑to‑end ontology lifecycle management, architecture definition, and A‑Box hydration patterns.

Qualifications

12+ years hands-on ontology engineering or knowledge modeling experience.
Proven experience delivering production-grade ontologies in enterprise or large consulting settings.
Lead role with responsibility for standards, team development, and roadmap ownership.

Responsibilities

Own ontology lifecycle: requirements, modeling, formal spec (OWL 2, RDFS, SKOS), validation and deployment.
Define enterprise ontology architecture and URI/versioning standards; align with upper ontologies (BFO, DOLCE, schema.org).
Lead governance: change management, quality gates (SHACL/ShEx), Definition of Done, peer reviews.
Lead business SME workshops; translate modeling decisions for non-technical audiences; align with stakeholders.
Collaborate with NLP/AI teams to guide ontology-informed feature engineering and integration.
Mentor ontologists and semantic analysts; manage delivery timelines and risks.
