Job summary

Accenture seeks a Senior Ontologist and Knowledge Architecture Lead to own the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise knowledge graph initiatives. This role leads semantic modeling, governance frameworks, and the technical direction of a cross-functional team spanning business stakeholders, data engineering, and AI/ML disciplines.

This role is hybrid in nature and will require time in office and traveling to client locations. Travel can be between 20-80%.

Qualifications

• Hands-on ontology engineering and knowledge modeling experience.
• Experience delivering production-grade ontologies in large environments.
• Strong governance and standards background across projects.

Responsibilities

• Own ontology lifecycle from requirements to long-term stewardship.
• Define enterprise ontology architecture and URI strategy.
• Lead alignment between domain ontologies and enterprise assets.
• Collaborate with NLP/AI teams for ontology-guided pipelines.
• Establish governance standards and quality gates.
• Lead SME workshops to elicit domain concepts.
• Direct delivery timelines and risk across programs.
• Hybrid in-office with client travel 20–80%.
