Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or up to one-month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in all units of measure
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems

Responsibilities

• Assist with the set-up of serving lines daily and ensure food is held at proper temperatures
• Prepare foods according to the menu plan and Opaa! recipes; plan ahead for next day’s menus
• Operate kitchen equipment with proper certification
• Keep work areas neat and organized; maintain cleanliness of kitchen and cafeteria areas
• Maintain FIFO inventory practices and keep storage areas clean
• Prepare baked goods as required by the menu and present to customers
• Batch cook to ensure quality and presentation
• Set up serving lines and serve items with correct portions
• Record and monitor temperatures and ensure HACCP compliance
• Follow safety rules and participate in required trainings
