Job summary

Dash In in Waldorf, MD is hiring Kitchen Associates to support a chef-inspired concept in a 24/7 retail setting. You will begin at $16.50 per hour with a $1 per hour overnight shift premium, joining a BOH team that delivers high-quality meals and fast, friendly service.

You will handle food safety and sanitation, manage prep and organization, assist with deliveries and station upkeep, and interact with guests to ensure a great experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or ability to complete GED program
• 1 year of food service experience or prep cook/line cook preferred
• Flexibility to work days, nights, overnights and weekends
• Authorized to work in the United States and 18+ years old
• Background check and drug screening completed

Responsibilities

• Follow food safety, sanitation and quality standards to craft fresh, tasty meals
• Monitor prep levels and keep station organized and ready for service
• Restock, organize and maintain a clean, efficient prep area
• Receive and store deliveries, ensuring proper placement for cooking operations
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and proper appearance of all work areas
• Engage with guests to provide a personalized dining experience
• Operate kitchen equipment from fryers to slicers with care and safety
• Use proper lifting techniques for large containers (50–65 lbs) when needed

What We're Looking For:

• High School Diploma or GED (or the ability to complete our company-paid GED program)
• 1 year offood service experience, line cook or prep cook experience preferred
• Flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, and weekends
• Authorized to work in the United States and 18 years of age or older
• Successful completion of background check and drug screening

Ideal Candidates Will Also Have:

• ActiveServSafecertification, or a similar qualification
• Tech-savviness, including familiarity with POS software
• Excellent multitasking and problem-solving skills
