Job summary

Outback Steakhouse is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to support back-of-house operations and uphold restaurant kitchen standards. You will work with the kitchen team to ensure quality meals and timely service while coaching staff and maintaining safety and sanitation.

The ideal candidate will be a leader with a coaching mindset, capable of coordinating opening/closing procedures, inventory checks, and adherence to recipes.

Qualifications

• Certified trainer in back-of-house functions
• Passing grade in assessment testing
• Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Minimum 21 years of age

Responsibilities

• Maintain high employment standards
• Assist in kitchen set ups for opening crew
• Check schedule for incoming team members
• Coach on security procedures
• Review daily inventory
• Prepare to receive orders and manage temps
• Follow sanitation and food safety standards
• Manage flow and timely ticketing for cooks
