Job summary

Skytop-Lodge is seeking a Steward responsible for cleaning and reshelving soiled dishware and glassware used in the dining room, kitchen and employees café. As time permits during shift, perform other cleaning and sanitation tasks.

Reports to the Executive Steward. The role involves line, feeder, and back-end dishwasher duties, with emphasis on safety and proper handling of kitchen tools and chemicals.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Safety in handling dishware, glassware, racks and trays after training.
• Competence in safe and correct use of the dish machine.

Responsibilities

• Take tray of dirty items from tray rack and scrape excess food.
• Put all glasses in their proper racks.
• Place tray with dirty dishes at the feeder position at dishwasher.
• Take all dirty dishes off the tray and feed them into dishwasher with dirty trays and glass racks.
• Take all clean dishes and glasses off the ramp and stack them on the table or put away stacks in proper kitchen locations.
• Assist with emptying garbage, sweeping and mopping floors; daily dishwasher cleaning.
