Job summary

Avion Hospitality is seeking a Steward to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of china, glass, and silver, and support kitchen staff in keeping the kitchen and storage areas clean. This role also involves proper food storage and rotation.

Responsibilities include operating dishwashing equipment, storing cleanware, cleaning floors, and assisting with general tasks in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
• Ability to evaluate alternatives quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
• Operate dish-washing equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of china, glass and silver.
• Replace clean china, glass and silver in proper storage locations with care to minimize breakage.
• Wash pots, pans and kitchen utensils and store them properly after cleaning.
• Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and restaurant areas.
• Empty garbage from Food and Beverage areas into hotel dumpster and maintain back dock area cleanliness.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
