Job summary

Sodexo at Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis is hiring a Steward to support food service operations, maintaining a clean, safe back-of-house environment. The role covers sanitation, warewashing, equipment care, and overall cleanliness to support restaurants, banquets, concessions, and catering services.

You will work under the Steward Supervisor or culinary leadership, with shifts varying by unit and event needs, and opportunities to grow within Sodexo’s benefits and training programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in stewarding, sanitation, or food service support roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open and close sanitation procedures for food service areas.
• Organize and properly store equipment, supplies, and service ware.
• Handle waste, recycling, and grease removal per procedures.
• Maintain floors, drains, and work surfaces to cleanliness and safety standards.
• Frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
• Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned based on client requirements.
