Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a part-time Steward in Chicago to support kitchen sanitation, warewashing, and general cleanliness. You will help maintain a safe back-of-house environment and assist with service needs for various catering operations.

The role requires ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally, with open availability preferred. Pay ranges from $17.05 to $18.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in stewarding, sanitation, or food service support roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support opening and closing sanitation procedures for food service areas.
• Assist with organization and proper storage of equipment, supplies, and service ware.
• Handle waste, recycling, and grease removal in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain floors, drains, and work surfaces to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
