This role emphasizes food safety, teamwork, and dependability; prior dishwashing experience is preferred, and the job may require standing long hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and completing a sanitation certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School or equivalent required; food safety coursework preferred.
• Food safety handler and sanitation certification, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Previous restaurant dishwashing experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a commercial dishwasher and maintain cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen and dining room clean and sanitary.
• Wash utensils, equipment, and dishes by machine or by hand.
• Put away clean dishware, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans.
• Stock supplies at serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars.
• Sweep and wash floors.
• Sort and remove trash to designated pickup areas.
• Help with food prep duties as directed, such as salad bar and cold dishes.
• Help unload and put away deliveries.
• Communicate regularly with management by phone, email, and text.
