Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service is seeking a Kitchen Steward to support the culinary team by maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen and dining area and by stock supplies in serving stations. You will help ensure equipment is in order and assist with positive interactions with coworkers and customers.

Responsibilities include washing dishes and utensils, unloading deliveries, and assisting in keeping floors clean, while following state and local food safety practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Working knowledge operating a commercial dishwasher.
• Familiar with the industry’s best practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room.
• Wash kitchen utensils, equipment and dishes using a dishwasher or by hand.
• Put away clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans.
• Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
• Sweep and wash floors.
• Assist in unloading and putting away deliveries.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers.
• Communicate regularly with management via calls, emails, and texts.
