Job summary

DeKalb Health in D"I"berville, MS is seeking a part-time Steward to maintain kitchens, cooking areas, and sanitation standards. You’ll clean equipment and utensils, operate dishwashing systems, and ensure OSHA/ServSafe compliance during shifts.

The role requires 21+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and physical ability to stand, lift up to 100 pounds, and perform repetitive motions. Shifts are open with open availability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
• Other physical requirements include reaching, grasping, stretching, and kneeling.
• Must be able to lift, maneuver, and carry up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining work areas (kitchens, cooking preparation, etc.) equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary manner and in accordance with OSHA and ServSafe standards.
• Removes garbage and trash, and places refuse in designated pick up area.
• Operates mechanical devices designed to assist such as scrubbers and dishwasher.
