Sonesta in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Kitchen Steward to support our culinary team by cleaning and sanitizing dishes, equipment and work areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. You will set up stations, scrub and sanitize, monitor chemicals and assist with daily cafeteria operations across service periods.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstation and dish areas, fill dish machine, check chemicals.
• Rinse, scrape, and wash dishes; operate dishwasher per manufacturer specs.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, hoods, shelves, floors and tables.
• Transport food and supplies to storage and service areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storerooms and kitchen spaces.
• Report safety hazards or equipment issues to supervision.
• Promote teamwork and quality service across departments.
