Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a dedicated Steward/Dishwasher to support the culinary team across main and banquet kitchens. Responsibilities include setting up stations, operating the dish machine per manufacturer specs, cleaning equipment, and ensuring timely replenishment of cafeteria supplies for hotel employees.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safe handling of chemicals, and maintaining a clean, organized work area in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Standing up and moving about the kitchen or other designated areas.
• Handling objects, products, chemicals, cleaning supplies and utensils.
• Bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, taking items on and off shelves.

Responsibilities

• Set up work station, fill dish machine, check chemical levels, and prepare required setup equipment.
• Clean designated equipment including hoods, filters, steam tables, sinks and storage areas.
• Monitor safety and report hazards or maintenance issues to management.
• Transport and organize supplies, maintain storage areas and rotate stock using FIFO where applicable.
• Transport prepared food from kitchen to cafeteria and replenish stations as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storerooms; uphold safety and security procedures.
