Job summary

goop kitchen is seeking a Kitchen Shift Lead in Costa Mesa, CA to supervise a fast-paced kitchen and uphold our health-conscious standards. You will coach staff, own dish quality, and ensure consistency across stations, while mastering recipes to train others.

Qualifications

1+ year of experience as a Lead or Supervisor, ideally in a fast-paced or wellness-focused kitchen.
Strong leadership and communication skills — you know how to motivate a team
ServSafe certification (or equivalent food safety certification)
Comfort working in a hot, fast-moving kitchen environment
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Supervise, coach, and lead kitchen staff, setting the tone for a positive and accountable shift
Own the quality, consistency, and presentation of every dish that leaves the kitchen
Master recipes and techniques across every station so you can train and support the team
Assist with ordering, invoices, and inventory to help keep the kitchen running smoothly
Uphold food safety and sanitation standards, holding the team accountable throughout the shift
