Job summary

The Pueblo of Sandia is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to support restaurant operations, food preparation, and presentation. You will assist in menu development, set up hot and cold lines, and serve items while upholding sanitary standards and proper temperatures.

Role requires teamwork, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to train others. Candidates must complete NM Food Handlers training upon hire and pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or food service capacity.
• Must complete New Mexico Food Handlers course upon hire.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Knowledge of food safety temperatures and sanitation.
• Ability to train personnel and supervise operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and preparation of menus and food presentation.
• Set up hot and cold food lines according to menu and portions.
• Serve a range of hot and cold items from counters and steam tables.
• Maintain appropriate temperatures and food safety standards.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness, including walk-in coolers and storage.
• Open and close as assigned; report equipment needs.
• Train staff and support teamwork across shifts.
• Follow rotation procedures and proper waste control.
