Job summary

The Pueblo of Sandia is seeking a part-time food service worker to support restaurant operations, food preparation, and presentation at our Albuquerque facility. Under general supervision, you will help with menu development, food set-up, service, and cooking, while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include serving hot and cold items, maintaining proper temperatures, cleaning the kitchen, and assisting in training staff.

Qualifications

• One year experience in restaurant or food service.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Must complete New Mexico Food Handlers course upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the development and preparation of menus, food set-up, service and cooking.
• Follows prescribed menu in setting up hot and cold food lines, ensures proper temperatures.
• Serves a range of hot and cold food items from counters and steam tables with appropriate portions.
• Maintains food temperatures and uses thermometers to ensure safety.
• Keeps kitchen clean, including walk-in refrigerator, freezer and dry storage.
• Maintains high standards of personal sanitation and attendance.
• Attends to day-to-day problems concerning equipment and supplies.
• Trains personnel and ensures safe food handling temperatures.
