Job summary

The Pueblo of Sandia is seeking a hands-on kitchen team member to support all restaurant operations, food preparation, and presentation. You will assist in menu development, food setup, and serving across hot and cold lines, ensuring correct temperatures and garnishes.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, coordinating with staff, and training teammates while adhering to tribal, federal, state, and local sanitary regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in restaurant or food service.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Relevant work experience or education may substitute for requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and preparation of menus and food setup.
• Set up hot and cold food lines, select utensils and ensure proper temperatures.
• Serve hot and cold items from counters and steam tables with garnishes as instructed.
• Maintain food temperatures and sanitation standards; ensure cleanliness of kitchen areas.
• Attend to equipment and supply issues; monitor spoilage and waste; report defects.
• Assist in training personnel and uphold safety and sanitation policies.
