Job summary

The Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a Food Service/Prep Aide in Morgantown, WV to assist the cook with meal prep and presentation. You will manage the dishwashing area, keep dishes and kitchen equipment clean, and support dining room service as needed.

Responsibilities include preparing items, portioning salads and desserts, stocking kitchens, reporting problems to the supervisor, and maintaining sanitation standards. A team-player mindset and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work well with others as part of a team.
• Good organizational skills are required.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and equipment.
• Able to understand and retain simple instructions and apply them to the position.
• Must be able to stand, kneel and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and carry heavy objects up to 20 feet.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook with preparation and presentation of food.
• Handle dishwashing area and keep dishes, silverware and glassware clean.
• Prepare food items as requested and portion salads and desserts.
• Assist with cleaning of kitchen, floors and equipment.
• Set up and run the dishwashing operation, keep dishwasher clean.
• Clean pots and pans as needed.
• Check water temperatures and maintain sanitation equipment.
• Take out garbage and assist dining room service as needed.
• Stock food on shelves and in the refrigerator.
• Report problems to supervisor and attend required meetings.
• Provide superior customer service to residents and guests.
