Job summary

Maman is hiring a Porter to help maintain cleanliness, organization, and smooth workflow across kitchen, service, and storage areas. The role emphasizes teamwork, pride in cleanliness, and efficiency in a fast-paced cafe and bakery environment.

You will support the BOH team, assist with prep tasks, receive deliveries, and ensure storage areas meet health and safety standards. Prior experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a restaurant, café, or bakery setting preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physical tasks (standing, lifting).
• Strong cleanliness and attention to detail; reliable and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dishpit, café, restroom, and service areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and cookware; replenish stock as needed.
• Assist with trash/recycling per health and safety standards.
• Support Kitchen Leader and BOH staff with basic prep tasks and storage.
• Receive, move, and store deliveries of food, beverages, and supplies.
• Ensure storage areas are clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regs.
• Restock supplies such as paper goods and cleaning materials.
• Assist with opening/closing cleaning duties.
• Follow all food safety and health guidelines.
