City Barbeque in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Assistant General Manager/Kitchen Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food safety and quality, and lead a high-performing team that delivers an exceptional guest experience.

You will hire and train kitchen staff, forecast demand, manage inventory, and control labor and food costs while upholding the brand’s standards. Collaborating with the FOH team, you’ll drive efficient line execution and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen management and leadership.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards; ServSafe certification beneficial.
• Ability to forecast staffing and production needs.
• Proven track record of improving food quality and guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Hire and train kitchen staff.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels for each shift.
• Ensure food prepared per recipe and served safely.
• Lead new product rollouts and kitchen procedures.
• Forecast sales and manage food costs.
• Control labor costs through scheduling.
