Qualifications

• Minimum two years management experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in varied kitchen positions (food preparation, line cook, fry cook, expediter).
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for all kitchen functions including food preparation and maintaining quality standards.
• Oversight of sanitation and cleanliness and training of employees in cooking methods, portioning and cost control.
• Provide coaching and orientation of rules, policies and procedures; oversee training of new kitchen staff.
• Ensure equipment is clean and maintained; monitor inventory, prep levels and order planning.
• Control food cost and waste; oversee labor scheduling and staffing to meet business needs.
• Enforce safety training and food handling procedures; supervise cleanliness of kitchen areas.
