Job summary

Workstream is seeking a Back of House Manager on Duty (BOH MOD) for Chick-fil-A operations. This role leads kitchen operations during shifts, upholds food safety and quality standards, and drives guest satisfaction through effective team leadership and decision-making.

You will oversee BOH team members, ensure brand standards, and coordinate with Front of House leadership to maintain smooth operations and high performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous BOH leadership experience preferred in restaurant or quick-service.
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety.
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and decisive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support BOH Team Members during assigned shifts.
• Set the tone for a positive, disciplined, and high-performing kitchen culture.
• Assign positions, manage breaks, and adjust staffing based on business needs.
• Hold team members accountable to Chick-fil-A standards and procedures.
• Communicate clearly with Front of House leadership to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure food is prepared accurately, efficiently, and to brand standards.
• Maintain speed of service goals during peak and non-peak hours.
• Monitor and manage food flow, production levels, and holding times.
• Respond quickly to operational challenges and make sound decisions.
• Ensure proper opening, shift transition, and closing procedures.
