Job summary

Pura Vida Miami, based in Boca Raton, is seeking an experienced Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations and support Managers in Training. You will lead staff, ensure quality, and uphold health and safety standards while delivering a fast, consistent dining experience.

Requirements include 5–6 years in food production or dining facilities, culinary school certification or Restaurant Management degree, and a proven track record in staff training, sanitation, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–6 years in a food production facility, fast-paced restaurant or full dining service.
• Culinary school certification or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus.
• Local/municipal requirements such as Food Handler certification acquired at applicant’s expense.
• Experience in training and developing kitchen staff.
• Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations and work closely with Assistant Kitchen Managers and MITs.
• Supervise and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to kitchen staff.
• Foster a culture of quality and consistency in the kitchen and menu items.
• Provide comprehensive training on prep work and food presentation techniques.
• Delegate tasks and stay accountable for kitchen and team performance.
• Ensure adherence to health, fire safety and local regulations.
