Puget Consumers Co-op is seeking a Kitchen Manager (Production Specialist) to oversee Deli kitchen operations, including production cooking, food cost analysis, recipe development, and ordering. You will mentor and coach deli staff and help set standards for customer service.

The role involves participating in department planning, budgeting, product mix, and scheduling, and may include hands-on cooking as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent professional customer service.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and production cooking in a high-volume kitchen.
• General understanding of cooking methods and ingredients.
• Kitchen management experience is required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends.
• Experience supervising and training staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide and model excellent customer service.
• Oversee kitchen operations including production cooking, cost analysis, recipe development, and ordering.
• Direct, supervise, coach, and mentor Cooks and Deli Helper Clerks.
• Participate in department planning with budgeting, product mix, and scheduling.
• Participate in production cooking as needed.
• Mentor and train staff to meet sanitation and safety standards.
• Ensure sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met.
