Job summary

PCC Community Markets in Seattle, WA is seeking a Deli Lead to help oversee deli operations, front-of-house service, merchandising and production cooking. You will mentor deli staff, set high customer service standards, and partner with the Deli management team on scheduling, budgeting and product mix.

This role requires at least one year of retail/food management, knowledge of health and safety codes, and the ability to lead, coach and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of management experience required.
• Background in prepared specialty foods and products.
• High level of awareness of health and safety codes.
• Strong production cooking, recipe development, and kitchen management experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing and modeling excellent, professional customer service and mentoring staff.
• Overseeing deli operations including front of house service, merchandising, and production cooking.
• Managing the department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Providing direction, supervision, coaching, and mentorship to deli staff.
• Participating in production cooking as needed.
• Participating in department planning including budgeting, product mix, and scheduling.
• Mentoring and training staff to meet sanitation and safety standards.
• Gaining knowledge of all Deli products and services.
• Ensuring sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met.
