Job summary

People's Food Coop in La Crosse, WI is hiring a full-time Kitchen Production Team member to support our busy deli and prepared foods operation. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM, with pay at $16.00 per hour.

The role focuses on ingredient and recipe preparation, food safety, and teamwork in a community-oriented setting. You will prepare deli entrees, salads, and other items; assist with inventory, rotate stock, update recipes, and help maintain clean, safe work areas.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in food service.
• Experience with ordering and inventory control.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a cooperative environment with teamwork and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service in kitchen operations.
• Monitor and maintain quality control standards.
• Collaborate with shift team to maintain a positive work environment.
• Prepare deli items and ensure proper food presentation.
• Rotate products and update recipes as needed.
• Document new recipes and participate in inventories.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe.
