Quaker Steak & Lube in Bloomsburg, PA, is seeking a Kitchen Manager who will lead back-of-house operations and drive high standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation. You will support and develop the kitchen team and ensure dishes meet our standards, reporting to the General Manager.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, collaboration with front-of-house, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous management experience in family or casual dining preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, consistency, and efficiency.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost control to support food cost targets and minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen that meets all health and safety standards.
• Uphold and enforce proper food-handling, sanitation, and prep procedures at all times.
• Support the hiring, training, scheduling, and development of all kitchen team members.
• Collaborate with front-of-house leadership to ensure smooth service and timely execution.
• Step in where needed during service and take on additional responsibilities as part of a hands-on leadership team.
