Job summary

Selkirk Pizza & Tap House in Spokane is seeking a full-time Kitchen Manager to lead daily kitchen operations, ensure quality food, maintain safety standards, and drive guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidate has at least 3 years in kitchen management, WSFWC, and a willingness to obtain CFPM certification, with flexibility for weekends and shifts. Local, independent restaurant offering fresh, hand-crafted pizza and a Northwest emphasis.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years minimum in a kitchen management position
• Washington State Food Worker Card (WSFWC)
• Certified Food Protection Manager certification preferred
• Willing to work a flexible schedule and weekends
• Strong work ethic and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Follow all policies and procedures
• Attend meetings on time
• Ensure proper receiving, storage, and rotation of products
• Minimize waste and maximize efficient use of food
• Meet financial goals including revenue, labor cost, and COGS
• Manage inventory, waste logs, prep lists and order guides accurately
• Train kitchen staff on proper food preparation and handling
• Lead and develop staff to provide an exceptional dining experience
• Establish kitchen goals and resolve issues promptly
• Conduct regular kitchen inspections and fix deficiencies
• Maintain relationships with vendors
• Interview and select new staff and conduct performance reviews
• Ensure sanitation, safety, and hygiene standards are met
