Job summary

Velocity Staffing is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to oversee kitchen operations during shifts in a busy full‑service restaurant. You will create schedules, supervise staff, assign duties, and ensure smooth operation.

The ideal candidate has restaurant leadership experience, excels under pressure, and is familiar with health and safety rules, MS Office, and restaurant management software. A ServSafe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• 0.5 years as a kitchen manager in busy full-service restaurant is required.
• Previous food service experience in full-service restaurant.
• Serve Safe.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, restaurant management software.
• Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure.
• Excellent management and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer complaints gracefully and with tact
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations

• Work on the line or at expo at night
• Perform All inventories on a monthly basis
