Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is hiring a Kitchen Leader in Opelika to learn food prep, grill meats, and train others to become Kitchen Leaders. You’ll ensure food quality, safety, and efficiency while supporting teamwork between back and front of house.

Responsibilities include cooking to order, managing inventory, and maintaining equipment and cleanliness. The role emphasizes leadership, customer service, and operational throughput in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Have the knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Have restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prep food to order following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory; resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew and customers to ensure great service.
• Keep the kitchen clean, sanitized, and organized.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment; arrange repairs quickly.
• Ensure the kitchen and Crew follow safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
