Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill in Sparta Township, NJ, seeks a Kitchen Leader to learn and manage food preparation, grilling, and sautéing while training future Kitchen Leaders. You will ensure quality, safety, cleanliness, stock, and proper equipment maintenance, serving as a role model for Crew members and promoting teamwork.

The role focuses on high standards, efficient service, and a great customer experience, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the Chipotle culture.

Qualifications

• Understand Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitoring food waste and inventory levels, and resolving food quality issues.
• Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Developing Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicating with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensuring kitchen is clean and sanitized, and equipment is maintained and repaired as needed.
• Ensuring safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries.
• Filling out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
